What is Andquiss?

Andquiss is a private counselling and psychotherapy practice based in Nottingham, UK, led by experienced therapist Sarah Taylor. The name “Andquiss” comes from an Old English word meaning “Answers,” reflecting our belief that clarity and insight can be found through the therapeutic process.

Your first step is a free 30-minute initial consultation to discuss your needs and see if we’re a good fit.


What happens during the initial consultation?

The initial session is a 30-minute call (telephone or online) with Sarah where you can:

  • Share what brought you to counselling

  • Ask questions about the process

  • Explore whether you’d like to continue working together
    This session is entirely free and non-obligatory.


What types of sessions do you offer?

We provide flexible session formats to suit different needs and preferences:

  • Face-to-Face (in Nottingham city centre)

  • Online or Telephone Counselling

How often are sessions held?

Sessions are typically held weekly or fortnightly, depending on your goals and availability. During the initial consultation, we’ll agree on a pattern that works best for you.

How long does each session last?

Standard counselling sessions usually run for 60 minutes

Is what I share confidential?

Yes — confidentiality and trust are central to effective counselling. All information you share is treated with the strictest confidentiality in line with professional ethical guidelines.

Do you work with specific groups of people?

We work with adults from all walks of life. Special experience includes supporting those affected by cancer — including individuals, carers, and loved ones.

Each hour-long session costs £60 and is payable by bank transfer before you attend the session. A concessionary rate is offered to students.

What are your fees and payment options?


Do you offer supervision or training?

Yes — Andquiss also offers professional supervision for practicing counsellors/therapists and training workshops, including laughter yoga-informed sessions.
